Hyperconnected Coin is the digital asset built on top of a faster and more scalable blockchain developed by the HYCON R&D team.
Positioned for Wide Adoption
Hycon’s development is two-front. We are committed to increase scalability and throughput on the blockchain, and to provide simple and functional user platforms for everyone to adopt.
Application
The initial wallet available was linked to the full node and had limited transactional functionality. So far it has been upgraded to allow for transactions using the Ledger Nano and it also allows users to use a mnemonic key to generate a HD wallet.
The Hycon lite client is a chrome browser extension that offers ease of use for transacting on the Hycon network. Users can send and receive transactions without the need to sync with the blockchain.
Currently there is no official support for Hardware wallets available, we have been included on the Ledger roadmap, and are working on adding support for Trezor, Digital BitBox, and various other wallets.
Performance
GHOST allows the publishers of orphaned blocks to receive some small reward, encouraging all miners to converge on the system-defined “longest” chain. This protocol has been in use on the Ethereum network for quite some time and will allow Hycon to double its transactional throughput.
Migration of basic components to Rust programming language to increase system performance and prepare for multithreaded nodes down the line.
Hard Fork required, to maintain ASIC resistance. These two hard forks will be combined into one to allow for minimum disruption to the network.
Development
The genesis block of Hycon was published in January 2018 to coincide with the 9th anniversary of the bitcoin genesis block. It contained 6 transactions which represented the initial distribution of Hycon.
The public presale ran from March 12th – 27th. We had over 200 participants.
The Hycon Mainnet launched on schedule at 6pm on June 1st, 2018. Since launch there has been over 120,000 blocks containing over 1 million transactions.
Hycon coin distribution for ICO participants began on June 20th. Once participants have verified their addresses with us, their tokens are sent out once a day (M-F).
Hycon was listed on OKex on July 24, 2018. You can trade Hycon against Bitcoin, Ethereum, or USDT. Hycon has also been confirmed for listing on Bit-z with the date for that listing coming soon.
Visibility, publicly available testbed allows interested parties to keep an eye on the development process and to get excited about upcoming features.
We’ve ensured that our wallets support each type of user, from those who just want to see their wallets, to those who want to see the entire blockchain.
1. Full Client – Sync and see the whole blockchain network and use your wallet.
2. Lite Client – Use your wallet across all Chrome-supported devices.
3. Hardware Wallet – Safely store and use your Hycon through a Ledger, Trezor, or BitBox (coming soon).
4. Mobile Wallet App – Access your wallet natively on your phone (coming soon).
